Overview

We are looking for 6 enthusiastic apprentices to join our kitchen teams (Galgorm, Adair Arms, Tullyglass House Hotel). This is the ideal opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a Chef and learning from our experienced kitchen teams, providing the opportunity to gain experience in a busy kitchen environment.

The Apprenticeship lasts for one year and will enable you to develop through a structured training programme. As an Apprentice, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification, giving you an ideal grounding for a career in the hospitality industry. You will be guaranteed a job following successful completion of the course.

You don't need any experience as we can teach you everything! If you are willing to, we can show you exactly what it takes to become a vital team member in any kitchen. You'll take on a full-time role under the supervision of passionate Chefs alongside your training where you will be able to support the running of our kitchens.

What the Apprenticeship includes:

• Guaranteed continued employment following successful completion of the course in one of our Hotel partners (Galgorm, Adair Arms, Tullyglass House Hotel).
• Nationally recognised fully funded qualification (FDQ Level 2 Diploma in Professional Chef - Northern Ireland)

• During the year you will visit/attend; Butchers, Fishmongers, ‘Toast the Coast’ tour, cook alongside a well-renowned Chef at a Hospitality dinner with NI Hotel Federation and experience a Michelin Starred Lunch plus many more experiences!
• Attractive hourly rate is £10.50 (above NLW)
• A mixture of on and off-the-job training, including site visits/tours
• Feedback session every 2 months with your manager
• Ongoing support and development

Learning Format: Learning is all on-site in one of the partner hotels in the Ballymena area so there is no need to attend college

Hourly Rate: We pay £10.50 per hour both in class and work-based learning

Training provider: South Eastern Regional College (SERC)

Qualification: FDQ Level 2 Diploma in Professional Chef (Northern Ireland)
